Rajesh Mahabeer is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa). In addition to his CA (SA) qualification, Rajesh holds several other professional qualifications including the FCMA, CGMA, ACA, FCCA, FIIASA, CIA, FIIASA, M Inst D, SAIPA designations. He also holds several academic qualifications including the MCom degree in Leadership Studies and the MBA degree. Rajesh is currently reading for his PhD degree at Wits.

Rajesh has 38 years’ work experience in large, complex organisations, in both the private and public sectors. Amongst other organisations, Rajesh has worked for AECI, Tetra Pak International, OTH Beier & Co, Hendler & Hart, Deloitte, Walter Sisulu University, Auditor General South Africa and South African National Parks. He has occupied the roles of CEO, COO and CFO. He has extensive transnational experience and has handled complex transactions, including developing footprints into Africa. Rajesh has served on several boards and audit committees. He currently serves on the Committee for Auditor Ethics at the Independent Regulatory Board of Auditors.

Rajesh has led major negotiations on various matters for clients and has delivered successful results. He is regarded as a first class negotiator and deal-maker. He has expert knowledge in change management and has led complex projects worth billions of rand.
